Home ED VAAME
The Vegetal, Animal, Food, Sea, Environment (VAAME) Doctoral School No. 642 includes approximately 120 doctoral students across 23 laboratories.
The VAAME Doctoral School relies on the network of researchers and research laboratories in the Pays de la Loire region.
The thematic positioning of the research carried out within the doctoral school integrates scientific questions that must be addressed in response to the climate, environmental, and economic transitions our society is facing. These issues drive the motivation behind our fundamental and applied research, in terms of co-construction and interdisciplinarity.
The research scope of the VAAME Doctoral School falls within the following disciplinary fields and subfields (according to the HCERES classification):
Life and Environmental Sciences (SVE)
- Subfield SVE1: Animal biology, plant biology, ecology, environment, evolution
- Subfield SVE2: Cell biology, imaging, molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics, systems biology, development, structural biology
- Subfield SVE3: Microbiology, virology, immunity
